In a age of stress and pressures from so many directions, its important to step back and refocus on your own needs. If you aren't looking after yourself, how can you concentrate fully or look after other concerns?

Its hard when you're feeling overwhelmed or unfocused, lonely or somehow disconnected to find connection and a feeling of fellowship.

As well as offering smaller more individual classes I also offer group sessions. The energy and bonding in the room, opens deeper conversations, trust, friendships and strengthens bonds.

Its as rewarding for me, as it is for you!

Watching people coming out of their shell, or to be able to express a bubbly personality, feeling more confident and opening up.

Wellbeing is fundamental through crafts. It allows focus on a project while enjoying the social care and friendship that is such an important part of the crafting experience.

Who is Shirley Cawte ?

My own crafting adventure spans decades of experiments, play and learning, practice and spending a fortune on materials then to swap to something else. A serial crafter, you might say.

It's been my love, my hobby, my passion and an life long adventure.

By day, for 30 years, I worked in corporate accounts, but my secret, my super power, was my creativity! When I took the opportunity to share my skills (and mistakes) I fell hopelessly in love with what I now do.

I'm proud of each person in my class, each of their creations. Taking crafts and skills, smiles and kind encouragement to classes filled with enthusiasm. Add coffee and cake and a warm comfortable environment. Who wouldn't want my job ! Thank you for being part of my journey.
